Workshop Focus & Instruction
This workshop explores the dynamic nature of water, with a central emphasis on how light interacts with the landscape. While oil paint will be used for all primary demonstrations and remains the core of the curriculum, we welcome artists working in other media.
Instruction:
Students will engage in learning through demonstrations, along with personalized feedback and hands-on demos.
Core Curriculum:
Light Effect: Mastering the essence of light
Light Direction: Anticipating shifts in natural daylight
Temporal Strategies: Capturing the essence of various times of the day, including nocturnes
Composition: Structuring and balancing tonal dynamics
Methodology: Investigating both open and closed practices

$550 Day Rate - No housing (Breakfast, dinner receptions included)
Accommodations consist of standard full-sized beds with shared bathrooms situated between two rooms. While private bathrooms are available on-site, they are prioritized for artist participants traveling with registered guests. You are welcome to request a private bathroom as a single occupant during the application process, and these will be assigned based on availability.

Workshop Overview
Learn how to create your own pair of modern fringe beaded earrings in this hands-on workshop.
You’ll learn:
How to build a strong foundation row
How to create balanced, flowing fringe
Basic pattern reading
Clean finishing techniques
Make it your own:
Choose your own color palette and create a pair that feels completely your own. You’ll have access to a variety of color options, so you can customize your earrings while working from the same pattern.
Skill level:
No prior experience required, though all levels are welcome.
What to bring :
Just yourself (and glasses if you use them). All materials, tools, and handouts are provided.
